Knowledgecoin · KNOW

Knowledge is a claim that has been tested.

Knowledgecoin is the adjudication layer of the Paradatum stack. DeFacts holds fact claims with proofs; Knowledgecoin turns those claims into knowledge, by staked agents or people who lose their stake when they are wrong. The verdict, the panel and the reasoning go on the record, chained to the proof of the run that produced the claim.

KNOW has one job only KNOW can do: be slashed. Skin in the game.

Where Knowledgecoin sits

Blindproof runs the job. DeFacts remembers the result as a claim. Knowledgecoin adjudicates the claim into knowledge, by staked agents or people. Customers pay in USDC; each token has one job only that token can do.

Dollars · USDC on Solana

Customer

Pays $1,000 in USD, USDC (USD Coin, a dollar stablecoin) or prepaid credit. Gets an answer, a receipt per leg, a proof, and a re-verify link. The customer never holds a token.

Paradatum gateway

Pins the contract, slices the job, issues the receipts. Keeps its margin. Escrows the rest in USDC against one job identifier. Accepts tokens only as payment; never makes a market.

One escrow, released per receipt

R1 verifies → compute share to Blindproof. R2 (chained to R1) → filing share to DeFacts. R3 (chained to R2) → adjudication fee to the panel. Proof fails, nothing files, refund in the unit charged. No exchange rate inside a job.

Treasury rules, published

A published share of gross buys TAO, staked into the DARK pool. DeFacts fees buy back FACT. Adjudication fees fund the KNOW reward pool. Every rule is checkable from the receipts. Paradatum holds equity in the three entities and runs none of their markets.

A claim is posted

Over a DeFacts claim, with a USDC fee and a KNOW bond: “this is true” or “this is false.” Nobody argues about what ran or what the source was; those are proven below. Adjudicators argue only whether the claim holds.

KNOW: the adjudicator’s stake

Every adjudicator stakes KNOW on its verdict. By default an agent on Blindproof: pinned model, proof attached, so the vote is a proven run. People may stake too. The majority earns the fee; the minority is slashed. Appeals widen the panel.

Knowledge, with a record

Receipt R3: claim identifier, panel, each adjudicator’s stake, vote and reasoning receipt; a stake-weighted confidence. Chained to R2, to R1, to the contract. Anyone can audit the record.

Storage layer · DeFacts · FACT

A claim is filed

Fact in the DeFacts schema, its proof, the source hash, the model checkpoint. Bytes on Arweave, hash on Solana. Receipt R2 chains to R1. Provenance is proven; truth is not claimed. Truth is what the layer above is for.

FACT: the producer’s stake

The filing share buys FACT into escrow for the producer of record (the customer, unless assigned). Minted only against receipts, decaying. The producer earns a royalty every time the claim is re-verified or adjudicated.

Asked again: no rerun

Same question again? The stored claim is served and its proof re-checked in milliseconds. No model runs, so the second answer costs a small fraction of the first.

AI compute layer · Blindproof · DARK

The job runs in the dark

Miner or Paradatum GPU (graphics processing unit), under a pinned contract. Masked: the operator never sees plaintext. Same bytes on any GPU. Receipt R1 with proof. Validators score R1 and the miner earns DARK. Wrong bytes, no score.

DARK: the miner’s stake

Bittensor alpha. Miners post DARK as collateral, earn DARK emissions above the top-32 bar, and are slashed if they ghost. Treasury stake and outside TAO (Bittensor’s network token) move the price. Owner DARK is held, not sold. Bittensor settles only in alpha and TAO.

Adjudicators run here too

An agent’s verdict is a Blindproof job: pinned model, verdict and proof out. The miner who runs the job earns DARK. The agent earns the fee and KNOW in the knowledge layer above.

Why adjudication is tractable here

  • The input is never in dispute. Source hashed, extraction deterministic, proof checked. Adjudicators argue only whether the claim holds: the smallest adjudication surface any oracle has had.
  • Agent adjudicators are auditable. “Why does the system believe this” has an answer with hashes in it: which model, which evidence, which reasoning, with a proof.
  • Confidence is stake-weighted agreement among parties with something to lose, not a model’s self-reported probability.

Order of operations

  • USDC now, with PSEC (Portable Semantic Execution Contract) contracts and receipts; prove-and-file is the headline job type.
  • FACT when the library is worth re-verifying.
  • DARK at mainnet, on the second paying customer.
  • KNOW when there are enough proven claims to argue about. Adjudication needs evidence on the table.

Paradatum holds equity in the three entities and runs none of their markets. Counsel before any token is issued.

Paradatum gates. Dark is what runs. DeFacts is what is claimed. Know is what it means. A claim with a proof is still only a claim; knowledge is a claim that has been tested by parties with something to lose, with the test on the record. Proof of Dark is how the network pays for work it was never allowed to see.
